Report: Comcast Chides Chelsea Handler for Matt Lauer Poop Jokes

Chelsea Handler has never been one to hold her tongue, but her bosses may be asking her to do just that after the Chelsea Lately host made jokes about Today's Matt Lauer.
After Today's Al Roker admitted to pooping his pants while at the White House, Handler made a joke on her E! late-night show that raised some brows at NBC. "This isn't the first time a Today show cast member was in the news about this sensitive subject. For year, it was common knowledge that Matt Layer spent every morning sh--ing all over Ann Curry."

The New York Post reports that the brass at Comcast, which owns both NBC and E!, warned the show's writers "to lay off Matt," a source told them. "They don't want them making more fun of Matt and the Ann Curry situation right now." Since Curry's exit from Today, reports surfaced that Lauer was behind her firing.
Still, an E! rep told the Post that no such request was made of the writers.
