Cheers & Jeers: Third Watch What Happens
Kim Raver, Jason Wiles
Cheers to the cast of Third Watch for finding a second career wind.
NBC's 1999-2005 cops-and-rescue-workers drama never got the respect it deserved, but lately its stars have been turning up all over the tube. Coby Bell is bringing a jolt of new energy to USA's Burn Notice as Jesse Porter, a cocky spy whom Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) inadvertently burned and is now trying to help. His fellow TW cop Jason Wiles is one of the hostages in NBC's intriguing, mysteriously under-promoted summer head-scratcher Persons Unknown.

Meanwhile, Kim Raver has checked into Grey's Anatomy with a regular role as Dr. Teddy Altman, and her paramedic partner Bobby Cannavale recently wrapped his run on Cold Case, as did her firefighter ex-husband Eddie Cibrian on CSI: Miami. Plus, two more Third Watchers have roles on new fall series: Anthony Ruivivar in ABC's legal drama The Whole Truth and Amy Carlson in CBS' cop saga Blue Bloods. And on the big screen, Michael Beach will play the Mayor in the upcoming remake of Red Dawn.
Now if the always-great Skipp Sudduth and Molly Price can land steady gigs, we could watch all of the original Third Watch crew.
Are you glad to see Third Watch's stars back on the small screen?
