The third appearance of "Robin Sparkles" — the Canadian-TV persona of Cobie Smulders' Robin Scherbatsky — was far from the charm. This time, the gang discovered an episode of Space Teens, a mathe-magical mystery that paired her with Jessica Glitter (Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger). The joke? An atypically dim Robin didn't realize the show played like a porno, with tired double entendres aboot — er, about — beavers and wood.
Scherzinger makes a much less graceful comedic actress than a Dancing With the Stars champ; when Marshall (Jason Segel) found her working as an accompanist for the New York Rangers, she didn't even play the organ convincingly (and no, that's not a double entendre). Perhaps it's not a surprise this show would run a bit into the ground: HIMYM has now aired 121 episodes, tying Lost's entire run. Take it from Hurley (Jorge Garcia, who'll soon guest on the CBS sitcom): The numbers are bad!
Do you think HIMYM should retire Robin Sparkles — and the rest of the gang?
