Mariska Hargitay and Harry Connick Jr.
Cheers to Harry Connick Jr. for getting in tune with Law & Order: SVU.

The crooner's Broadway show On a Clear Day may be closing soon, but he's making beautiful music with Mariska Hargitay as the new executive ADA. Connick Jr. brought a light, quirky tone to the often-dark drama as his character, David Haden, helped Det. Olivia Benson investigate a brutal assault covered up by a private defense contractor, played by the perfectly loathsome John Doman, from The Wire and Damages.
And they weren't the episode's only notable guest stars: Laura Benanti bounced back from her disastrous gig on The Playboy Club with a sexy turn as cop Danny Pino's wife, and electrifying Lights Out star Holt McCallany reunited with his old boss Warren Leight (now SVU's show runner) as a vengeful father. Thanks to Leight's touch — and guests like Connick, Jr., who'll do three more episodes — we're just wild about SVU again.
