The onetime Not Ready for Primetime Player — who's already got two hit sitcoms under her belt (CBS' Kate & Allie and NBC's 3rd Rock From the Sun) — brings a much-needed sense of humor to the Eye network's rookie procedural. Star Poppy Montgomery could use a strong female foil, and Curtin is just what the doctor ordered as Joanne Webster, a mouthy medical examiner who's been exiled to Queens.
In her first case, Dr. Webster helped Montgomery's Carrie Wells attempt to capture a serial killer whose crimes hit a bit too close to home. With a tested veteran like Curtin on board, chances are Unforgettable won't slip CBS' mind come renewal time.
