Chad Lowe Joins ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars

Chad Lowe has joined the new ABC Family drama series Pretty Little Liars, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on a young adult series of novels, Liars focuses on four teen girls — Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) — who mysteriously receive messages from a friend who disappeared three years earlier.

Lowe, who won an Emmy for Life Goes On, will play Aria's father. He replaces Alexis Denisof (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in the role.
Lowe, 42, most recently recurred on the sixth season of 24 as White House Deputy Chief of Staff Reed Pollock.
Liars premieres June 8 at 8/7c.
