Dog Whisperer star Cesar Millan and his wife, Ilusion, have split.
"We are sad to announce that after 16 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce," the 40-year-old TV host wrote on his website Friday. "The decision was made after much consideration and time. We remain caring friends, and are fully committed to the co-parenting of our two boys."

Ilusion filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences, according to legal documents obtained by People. She is seeking primary physical custody of their children, Andre and Calvin, as well as spousal support.
Cesar has hosted Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic Channel since 2004 and is the author of several best-selling books.
