Why Is CeeLo Green Being Sued for $14 Million?

CeeLo Green is being sued by a concert promoter for more than $14 million, TMZ reports.

Cierra Management Group filed a lawsuit claiming that they paid Green $243,000 to perform two Christmas concerts. While the musician is being sued for allegedly refusing to do the concerts, his team is being sued for "a scheme designed to finagle funding capital for concerts they would not manifest." In other words, Cierra believes that Green's people never planned on having him fulfill the concert obligations. Cierra is seeking $14.2 million.
"When this story came out yesterday, it was the first time that CeeLo Green and his current management team had even heard about this concert deal," Green's rep said in a statement to TVGuide.com. "Most importantly, CeeLo was never compensated or involved. It is unfortunate and ridiculous that CeeLo Green's name is associated with such an incident as this is not how he handles business."
