The car used on the Canadian version of Cash Cab struck and killed a pedestrian, The Associated Press reports.
Andrew Burnstein, the president of the company that produces the game show, said the accident occurred on Friday when a producer was driving the car back to a garage after the day's filming. Vancouver Police said that a 61-year-old man died in the hospital shortly after being hit. His identity has not been released.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his friends and his family." Burnstein said. "My heart also goes out to the driver of the vehicle, a member of our technical staff, who is shaken and devastated by this tragic accident, as is our entire team."
No charges have been filed so far, authorities told the AP.
Cash Cab has been broadcast in Canada since 2008. The U.S. version has aired on the Discovery Channel since 2005.
