Case Closed For Tila Tequila: D.A. Says Not Enough Evidence

Tila Tequila's case against her boyfriend is now closed, according to a statement from San Diego's district attorney.
"After a thorough review...our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed," said San Diego District Attorney Bonnie M. Dumanis.
Tila Tequila hospitalized after altercation with NFL player boyfriend
After an altercation on Saturday night, Tila "Tequila" Nquyen, 27, had her boyfriend, NFL player Shawne Merriman, arrested. She told authorities that he had choked and physically restrained her when she tried to leave his residence.
Merriman then responded by saying he was trying to keep her from driving home intoxicated. An attorney for Tila told E! News that Merriman's account of the night was a "fantastic story." After the he-said, she-said, the case has officially been dropped.
