Carnie Wilson on Weight Battle: I'm Still Struggling

Carnie Wilson

Carnie Wilson's new year's resolution? To lose weight.

"I've had so much stress in the last year so it's really a struggle," the Wilson Phillips singer tells Fox News. "I'm definitely up in weight. I'm looking forward to getting an exercise routine again. It's like a daily decision."

Wilson, who lost 150 pounds via gastric bypass in 1999, says she's struggled with her weight since she sobered up after giving birth to her first child, Lola, now 6.

"I can't smoke a joint. I can't have a glass of wine because I want 10 joints and 10 glasses of wine," Wilson, 43, says. "That's my obsessive compulsive and addictive behavior. I've really struggled since I've become sober. How do I balance that? How can I relax and not overeat? Because I have a lot of pressure in my life."

Though motherhood has factored into the pressure, Wilson, who appears on ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap Tuesday, says she's upfront about her weight battle with her daughters, Lola and Luciana, 2. But she sees herself in her oldest.

"Lola knows I struggle with it. I see Lola loving sugar like all the other children but I also see her pay a little more attention like when there's a birthday party, I see her being the first in line to get the cake. I see me in her," Wilson says. "I think she's going to be all right as long as we're in control of this. She is an active child."
