Carla Gugino Lands Recurring Role on FX's Justified

Carla Gugino has landed a recurring role on the third season of Justified, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Gugino will play Karen Goodall, a Washington D.C.-based assistant director of the U.S. Marshals Service who previously worked with Raylan (Timothy Olyphant). According to TVLine.com, which first reported the news, Goodall heads to Kentucky to assist in protecting compromised witnesses whose identities may have leaked after the murder of a U.S. Marshal.

Gugino notably starred in the ABC series Karen Sisco, which, like Justified, was inspired by the work of Elmore Leonard. The 40-year-old actress' other credits include Watchmen and Suckerpunch as well as appearances on Entourage and Californication.
Justified will return for a third season in early 2012.
