Jessica Lucas is returning to The CW.
The former Melrose Place reboot star has landed the lead role in the new drama pilot Cult, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Deadline first reported the news.

The project centers on Skye (Lucas), an inquisitive, young female production assistant on a wildly popular television show called Cult. After a rash of disappearances and a likely murder, Skye joins a journalist blogger in investigating the rabid fans of the series who might be re-creating crimes seen on the program in real life.
Rockne O'Bannon will write and executive-produce alongside Gossip Girl duo Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein.
Lucas' credits also include J.J. Abrams' Cloverfield, 90210 and NBC's short-lived Friends With Benefits.
