The astronaut and Dancing with the Stars alum filed papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple separated on Tuesday, according to the documents.
Aldrin, 81, and Cannon wed on Valentine's Day in 1988. They have no children.
