Burt Reynolds to Get Animated on Archer

Burt Reynolds will lend his voice to an animated version of himself on an upcoming episode of Archer, FX announced Monday.
The 75-year-old Oscar-nominated actor will lend his voice to the episode titled "The Man From Jupiter," a reference to Reynolds' real hometown in Florida. In the episode, airing in January, Reynolds starts dating Archer's mom and boss, Mallory, voiced by Jessica Walter.

"I think the only person on the planet who's a bigger fan of Burt Reynolds than me is Sterling Archer," Archer creator Adam Reed said in a statement. "Archer constantly tries to imitate Burt and always raves about Burt's movies and all-around awesomeness. So to have Burt recording voice-overs for the show was just amazing."
Reynolds guest-starred on Burn Notice last year and will next appear in the CMT TV movie Reel Love, which premieres next month. Season 3 of Archer premieres in January.
