Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen to Host the Billboard Music Awards

ABC is keeping it all in the family for the upcoming 2012 Billboard Music Awards.
Modern Family stars Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen, who play married couple Phil and Clair Dunphy on the ABC comedy, will host the show. "We are thrilled to have television's favorite Emmy Award winning couple as our hosts for this year's Billboard Music Awards," Richard D. Beckman, the show's co-executive producer, said in a statement. "Ty and Julie have captured the hearts of America with their on-screen chemistry and humor — and we look forward to having them bring that magic to the Billboard Music Awards."

Airing May 20, performers for the Las Vegas-set ceremony include Justin Bieber and Carrie Underwood. Community's Ken Jeong previously hosted the awards show.
Burrell, 44, and Bowen, 42, both took Emmy awards last year for their roles on the Emmy-winning Modern Family, which wraps its third season next month.
