Charlie Sheen's wife Brooke Mueller has checked into a North Carolina wellness center after being hospitalized last week for a serious infection, The Associated Press reported.
Mueller's lawyer, Yale Galanter, told the AP that Mueller was flown to the unnamed facility by private plane following her release from the hospital and denied reports that Mueller, 32, is in rehab. "She's definitely not in a place for drug or alcohol rehabilitation," he said.

Galanter said Mueller was "mentally and physically exhausted" upon leaving the hospital. Galanter said the facility was recommended by her doctors and described it as a wellness center with a focus on spiritual and physical healing with yoga and healthy food.
Mueller was in an intensive care unit for seven days after undergoing oral surgery. Before her hospitalization, Mueller and her husband — who have 10-month-old twins — have been in the headlines for weeks, following the Two and a Half Men actor's Christmas arrest on charges of felony menacing and domestic violence.
Denise Richards: Charlie Sheen was abusive
"Since Dec. 25, she's been assaulted by her husband and had a knife put to her throat, decided to reconcile with her husband, which the court prevented, delayed having oral surgery because of a scheduled court hearing and then developed an infection that spread to her blood stream," Galanter told AP. "She developed pneumonia and she almost lost her life ... She's been through a lot."
Sheen had been ordered to stay away from Mueller but he visited his estranged wife in the hospital last week and missed Saturday's Screen Actors Guild Awards to be by her side, according to People. The couple, who have 10-month-old twins, is next due in court on Feb. 8 in Aspen, Colo.
