Brett Butler on addiction, Charlie Sheen and working with Chuck Lorre
Loosely based on the eponymous film, Anger Management stars Sheen as Charlie, a former baseball player, and Selma Blair as his therapist. Butler will recur as the bartender at Charlie's local hangout.
Ironically, Butler and Sheen are both alums of Chuck Lorre series that were affected by their respective star's trouble with substance abuse. Sheen was famously ousted from Two and a Half Men, while Butler starred on Grace Under Fire, which was abruptly canceled by ABC because of Butler's personal struggles.
