Bret Michaels Calls Off Engagement to Longtime Girlfriend

Bret Michaels and his longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson have called off their engagement after more than 17 years together, People reports.
The rocker, 49, and Gibson, 41, have two children together: Raine Elizabeth, 12, and Jorja Bleu, 7. "Although the couple have separated they remain great friends and are committed to jointly raising their two daughters," their rep said in a statement to the magazine.

Michaels proposed to Gibson in December 2010 in front of the cameras for the finale of his VH1 reality show Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.
Michaels, who is also known as the former lead singer of Poison and the winner of Celebrity Apprentice in 2010, most recently guest-starred on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition last year.
