Breakout Kings Heads to A&E

Breakout Kings, the fall pilot passed over by Fox, has found new life at A&E.

Fall 2010 TV scorecard: Which shows are returning? Which aren't?

The network has greenlit 13 episodes of the series from Prison Break producers Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora.

Kings centers on several convicts, played by Malcolm Goodwin and Jimmi Simpson, who are pulled out of jail to help track down fugitives in exchange for lesser sentences. Laz Alonso, Domenick Lombardozzi and Brooke Nevin also star.

Production will begin this fall in Toronto. A&E will premiere Kings in early 2011.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with accomplished talents such as Matt and Nick," president and general manager of A&E Bob DeBitetto said in a statement. "As soon as we screened the Breakout Kings pilot, it struck us as the perfect fit for A&E as the network of 'Real Life. Drama.'"

Does the premise sound enticing?
