The Team Brandi Glanville vs. Team LeAnn Rimes battle is alive and well.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Glanville, 40, has donated $500 to the legal defense fund of a woman sued by Rimes, 30, for invasion of privacy, Radar Online reports.
Back in March 2012, Rimes was out at lunch with friends when she called California schoolteacher Kimberly Smiley, who later allegedly leaked the taped conversation online without getting the singer's permission. Rimes filed a civil suit against Smiley in August for illegally recording the phone call.
"I don't know the woman from Adam, but I was stalked, harassed and bullied for two years by LeAnn's producer, Darrell Brown, her tour manager and hairdresser," Glanville told the gossip news site. "I never once called them on the phone or filed a lawsuit against them. If LeAnn wants to heal from this she needs to let it go and walk away like I did."

Smiley, a mother of six, is part of a loosely organized group of women on Twitter who are anti-Rimes. Ever since the lawsuit was filed, Smiley's friends and allies have shown their support by tweeting the hashtag #TeamSmiley.

"Contrary to Brandi's reasoning for her compassion and donation, the civil case has nothing to do with bullying, harassment nor voicing one's opinion," Rimes' spokesperson told the website. "The fact is, in California it is illegal to record a conversation without permission and then proceed to distribute the material."
Rimes and Glanville have famously feuded for years after Glanville's ex-husband and father of her children, Eddie Cibrian, was photographed in 2009 cheating on Glanville with Rimes. Cibrian and Rimes married in April 2011. Glanville's 2013 memoir Drinking & Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders depicts Rimes negatively.
