After a slow start for Safe House, the movie edged out The Vow for the No. 1 spot at the box office during Presidents' Day Weekend.

The Denzel Washington-fronted film, which finished third on Friday, grossed an estimated $28.4 million over the four-day weekend, according to Box Office Mojo. The Vow, which earned the No. 1 spot last weekend with roughly $41.7 million, fell to No. 2 this week, bringing in an additional $26.6 million.
