Godzilla had a monster debut at the box office this weekend, raking in $93.2 million, Box Office Mojo reports. That's the second-highest opening of 2014, falling just short of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which took in $95 million in its first weekend.

The remake bumped last week's No. 1 film, Neighbors, down to second place with $25.9 million. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also fell a spot to No. 3 with $16.8 million.
