Box Office: Django Unchained, Les Mis Open Big, The Hobbit Still Tops

Christmas was good to three holiday newcomers at the box office, but they were no match for The Hobbit.

In its third week atop the chart, The Hobbit grossed an estimated $32.9 million, according to Box Office Mojo. Quentin Tarantino's latest film Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio, premiered to $30.6 million to take second place. The movie adaptation of the musical Les Miserables, starring Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, followed at No. 3 with a first take of $28 million. Billy Crystal's latest comedy, Parental Guidance, came in at No. 4 with $14.8 million.

Jack Reacher completed the top five with $14 million. This Is 40 came in at No. 6, drawing $13.1 million. In seventh place, Lincoln grabbed $7.5 million.

Completing the top 10: The Guilt Trip (No. 8, $6.7 million), Monsters, Inc 3D (No. 9, $6.3 million) and Rise of the Guardians (No. 10, $4.9 million).
