The tagline for the second season of Starz's Boss claims "power consumes everyone" — and it looks like it's going to be a feeding frenzy for Chicago Mayor Tom Kane and his inner circle.

When viewers last saw Kane (Golden Globe winner Kelsey Grammer), he had collapsed after finding out that his wife (Connie Nielsen) and one of his closest advisers (Martin Donovan) had betrayed him. In this exclusive art from the new season, which premieres Aug. 17 at 9/8c, Kane appears to be back in power, but he will have new blood with which to contend. Sanaa Lathan and Jonathan Groff join the cast as the Chief of Staff of Kane's rival and a new member of Kane's office, respectively.
