The singer proposed to his girlfriend, manager Alicia Etheridge, on stage Friday night at the annual Funk Fest in Jacksonville, Fla., according to The Florida Times-Union.

Brown — the latest celebrity to fall victim to hoax Internet death reports two weeks ago — got down on one knee to propose as the crowd cheered him on, the newspaper reported.

Brown and Etheridge have been together for three years and have a son, Cassius, who turns 1 on May 30. Brown, 41, has four other children from previous relationships, including 17-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina with ex-wife Whitney Houston.

This will be the second marriage for Brown, whose 15-year union with Houston ended in 2007.
