Exclusive: Blue Bloods Books Richard Burgi for Season Premiere

Former Desperate Housewives star Richard Burgi will guest-star on the Season 3 premiere of CBS' Blue Bloods, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
Burgi will play Councilman Anthony Russo, the powerful, wealthy chairman of the Committee on Public Saftey. He promises Police Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) that he will do his best to prevent NYPD budget cuts, but we're not so sure Frank should trust Russo's methods. Despite being a decorated former homicide cop, his private life is awfully checkered.

Besides his work as Karl Myer on Housewives, Burgi is also known for his roles on Days of Our Lives, The Sentinel, 24, Point Pleasant and Harper's Island. He most recently recurred on Chuck and One Tree Hill and is slated to guest-star this season on Burn Notice.
Blue Bloods returns Friday, Sept. 28 at 10/9c on CBS.
