Jennifer Esposito has been promoted to series regular on Blue Bloods, CBS announced Thursday.

Esposito, 37, joined the show in October as Detective Jackie Curatola, the new partner of Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan, who had two partners before her.

On the Set: Jennifer Esposito, Blue Bloods' new cop on the block, feels "at home"

"Jennifer is a wonderful addition to the cast," executive producer Leonard Goldberg said in a statement. "She brings creativity and energy to the set every day and is a perfect match for Donnie Wahlberg's character. We are thrilled to have her on the Blue Bloods team."

Esposito previously starred in Samantha Who? and has appeared in such films as Don't Say a Word, Crash and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10/9c on CBS.
