As Wolowitz prepares to rocket into space, real-life astronaut Mike Massimino will return for The Big Bang Theory's season finale, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Massimino first appeared in "The Friendship Contraction" episode, in which Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Massimino video-chatted to discuss Howard's upcoming duties as a payload specialist on their trip to the International Space Station. (Wolowitz tried to inadvertently get Massimino to dub him "Rocket Man," but ended up with the nickname "Froot Loops.")
In the finale, Massimino returns as their shuttle to the Space Station prepares for launch. Will Wolowitz finally make it to space? Tune in for the season finale, airing Thursday, May 10 at 8/7 on CBS.
