Benjamin Bratt has joined Private Practice as a series regular, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
There are no details on Bratt's role, but the actor will make his first appearance in the Season 4 finale before joining full time next season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Audra McDonald to exit Private Practice
Bratt's addition is the latest in a string of cast shake-ups for the medical drama. Caterina Scorsone and Brian Benben were promoted to regulars this season, while Audra McDonald announced last month she will leave the show at the end of the season to spend more time with her New York-based family.
Bratt, 47, starred on Law & Order for four years before headlining NBC's E-Ring and A&E's The Cleaner. He most recently guest-starred on Modern Family as Gloria's ex-husband.
