After only six months together, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are engaged.
According to People, Kroeger popped the question, accompanied by a 14-carat diamond, on Aug. 8.
The Canadian pop-rockers met in February when the Nickelback frontman teamed with Lavigne to co-write a song for her upcoming album.

This will be the first marriage for Kroeger and the second for Lavigne, who was married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley until 2009.
Lavigne also dated The Hills star Brody Jenner, whose name she has tattooed on her ribcage. We wonder how Kroger feels about staring at that 'til do they part.
