At this rate, it really is going to be the Speidi dramedy hour.
After losing resident Hills-billy and leading lady Lauren Conrad to the real world (not the show), MTV's prime-time staple will now also bid adieu to Audrina Patridge.
Patridge will depart The Hills following its upcoming fifth season after signing a deal with Mark Burnett Productions. Patridge's new project will focus on her personal and professional life, according to The Hollywood Reporter. So it's basically The Hills for Audrina.
"We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina," Burnett says. "She has already proved her star quality, and we can't wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career."
Conrad announced last month she will exit The Hills following Season 5, leaving the future of the show unknown.
Although MTV has not officially renewed The Hills for a sixth cycle, the show "will continue as long as there are stories to tell, and as of now we don't see an end in sight," says a network rep.
Season 5 of The Hills premieres March 30.
