Arthur Chu, the Jeopardy! contestant whose unorthodox methods angered many viewers, was finally beaten Wednesday, after amassing nearly $300,000 over 12 days on the game show.
Chu, 30, finished in third place with zero dollars on Wednesday's show, after betting his total on a Final Jeopardy question about British royalty that he got wrong. Diana Peloquin won on Wednesday with $15,700.

Chu is in third place as far as all-time wins on the show, behind Ken Jennings and Dave Madden, and his final total was $297,200. Throughout his run, many fans of the show became aggravated with Chu's playing style, which consisted of skipping around the board looking for the Daily Doubles, rather than the more traditional method of going through one category at a time.
"Thanks for all the love guys. Hard to be hurt by a loss I've known was coming since Nov but seeing others react makes it real again," Chu tweeted Wednesday.
He also offered gracious praise for Peloquin. "Also everyone who was my fan for playing hard w no apologies and succeeding needs to give the same props to Diana or they're hypocrites," he tweeted.
Are you sorry Chu's reign has come to an end? What did you think of his playing style?
