Army Wives Awarded a Fourth Tour of Duty

Army Wives

Army Wives — the most successful series in Lifetime's 25-year history and cable's No. 1-rated drama among the coveted Women 18-49 demo — has been renewed for a fourth season.

Eighteen new episodes have been ordered, to premiere in 2010. Season 3, meanwhile, is currently scheduled to launch in June, with episodes once again airing Sundays at 10 pm/ET.

"This early pick-up — even prior to the Season 3 premiere — is a true testament to our commitment and support of this great show," said JoAnn Alfano, executive vice president of Lifetime Networks. "With Jeff Melvoin taking the reins as executive producer, we are confident that the best episodes are yet to come."

In other Army Wives news, Katelyn Pippy (aka Claudia Joy's daughter, Emmalin) has been bumped up to series regular status for Season 3.
