Vampire Diaries and Life Unexpected star Arielle Kebbel has joined ABC's drama pilot Hallelujah, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Created by Desperate Housewives mastermind Marc Cherry, the project revolves around a stranger who restores faith in a tiny Tennessee town torn apart by the forces of good and evil. Episodes will feature songs sung by the gospel choir, serving as a type of Greek chorus.
Kebbel will play Veda Roman. She joins previously cast Jesse L. Martin and Frances O'Connor.

Kebbel, who plays Lexi on Vampire Diaries, has also guest-starred on Gilmore Girls, Law & Order: SVU and Entourage.
