TVGuide.com Voters: Ann Curry Should Replace Meredith Vieira on Today

More than 60 percent of voters in a TVGuide.com poll think that longtime Today show news reader Ann Curry should take the anchor chair from Meredith Vieira, who is expected to leave the program later this year.
Who should replace Meredith Vieira on Today?
Sixty-one percent of voters support Curry, who was passed over for the job when Vieira replaced Katie Couric in 2006. Speaking of Couric, 14 percent of voters want the CBS Evening News anchor, who is reportedly looking to leave CBS once her contract expires, to come back to Today.
The next highest vote-getter is Natalie Morales, also a current Today staffer, with 13 percent. CNBC's Erin Burnett and NBC News Washington correspondent Savannah Guthrie, who are also rumored to be on NBC's shortlist, follow with 5 percent and 4 percent, respectively.
The remaining 3 percent are write-in votes, which include former CNN anchor Campbell Brown, CNN's Soledad O'Brien and MSNBC's Tamron Hall.
Is Matt Lauer also leaving the Today show?
If Curry is once again overlooked, she might still have another shot: Today anchor Matt Lauer is also reportedly considering leaving the show at the end of his contract in 2012.
