Angie Harmon's on the Case in Rizzoli & Isles
How can you not love Angie Harmon? Not only is the former model still superfine, but she is also packing
major brains and brass behind that pretty face. So it's fitting that her Rizzoli & Isles (Mondays, 10/9c, TNT) character, Beantown detective Jane Rizzoli, is proving herself to the old boys' club tonight when she takes on her pill of a new boss (Donnie Wahlberg).
Helping Harmon's case? Real-life research. "I did a lot of research with the Boston Homicide Unit," says the Law & Order vet. "They only have two women there and they've been on duty for a long time, but the guys refer to them as 'good kids.'"
Still, Harmon — a vocal supporter of our men and women in blue — couldn't get enough. "I'm an adrenaline junkie, so when I was doing research with the Boston unit, sirens would go off at night and I would say, 'That's gotta be a murder! Someone has got to be dead!'" she laughs. "Then a detective would come pick me up and I'd be like, 'Come on, come on, let's go!'" [They] would just look at me and say, 'Angie, they're still going to be dead when we get there!'"
