Amy Locane

Melrose Place star Amy Locane-Bovenizer has been sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of vehicular homicide stemming from a fatal car crash in 2010, according to Fox News.

In June 2010, Locane-Bovenizer hit Fred and Helene Seeman as they were pulling into their Montgomery, N.J., driveway. Mrs. Seeman was pronounced dead at the scene, while her husband was seriously injured. Officers reported smelling alcohol on Locane-Bovenizer's breath and she was arrested shortly after. Her blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when the crash occurred.

The 41-year-old actress, who was acquitted of aggravated manslaughter, faced a maximum of 10 years in prison, but her sentence was reduced by seven years due to the hardship it would place on her children. "What a travesty," Fred Seeman allegedly shouted at the judge in court.

Locane-Bovenizer, who was convicted in November, played Sandy Louise Harling on the first season of Melrose Place. Her other credits include the films Cry-Baby, Airheads and School Ties. She was credited as Amy Locane before she married Mark Bovenizer.
