Twiggy the waterskiing squirrel

During America's Got Talent's arduous audition process, viewers inevitably get tired of watching contestants sing/dance/tell bad jokes/etc. (Imagine how the judges feel!)

Which is why, when an act comes along like Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel, it adds a breath of fresh (and freakish) air to the competition. On Tuesday's episode, Twiggy was accompanied on stage by his owner, Lou Ann Best, who has been teaching squirrels (and miniature horses, French poodles, cats, an armadillo and a frog) to waterski since 1978. Really.

We're sure the squirrel was thrilled about the opportunity to appear on AGT, but as it turns out, Twiggy is kind of a big deal. The athletic rodent has performed all over the world (Canada, Bermuda, Paris, Germany) and has appeared in three films and talk shows like Good Morning America, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, and Late Night with David Letterman.
