Walking Dead

Inception, The Social Network, Glee and The Walking Dead were among the honorees on the American Film Institute's lists of top 10 movies and TV shows of 2010.

Other TV shows the AFI cited Sunday: The Big C, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Modern Family, The Pacific, Temple Grandin, and 30 Rock. This is the fourth consecutive year Mad Men has been honored.

Big-screen honors also went to Black Swan, The Fighter, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Town, Toy Story 3, True Grit and Winter's Bone.

AFI also gave The King's Speech, which is ineligible because it's a British production, special honors. The documentary Waiting for Superman was given the same honor.

Unlike other film honors, AFI does not rank its list or pick one film or TV show as the year's best.
