America Ferrera has landed her first full-time, post-Ugly Betty role.
According to Deadline, Ferrera will star in the hour-long dramaDemascus, which has been given a put pilot commitment from CBS. Ferrera will also executive-produce with Ugly Betty's Teri Weinberg. Nick Osborne will write.

Demascus is about a crusading nun (Ferrera) who practices law on behalf of the less fortunate and has her beliefs tested when her life collides with an elitist corporate lawyer. As the two set out to help those in need of justice, they come up against a secretive and powerful organization that is determined to destroy them.
Ferrera, who won an Emmy for her portrayal of Betty Suarez, has most recently recurred on The Good Wife.
