VIDEO: See the World Through the Eyes of The Amazing Spider-Man in First Official Trailer
Stop us if you've heard this one before: A teenage outcast who lives with his aunt and uncle in New York gets bitten by some radioactive spider and develops the abilities to climb tall buildings, spin webs and swing from skyscraper to skyscraper.
However, unlike 2001's Spider-Man starring Tobey Maguire, 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man shows a decidedly more emo vigilante (this time played by The Social Network's Andrew Garfield). His parents left him when he was just a kid, he sits in the corner of class hiding under his dark hoodie and there's a lot of dark, moody music in the background to make Peter Parker's plight seem that more depressing.

Although many aspects of the trailer may seem similar to the 2001 version, the most interesting part of the trailer is when the camera shows the world through the eyes of Spider-Man as he tries out his method of transportation. (Those who get motion sickness, be forewarned).
