Alex Kingston to Guest-Star on Private Practice

Alex Kingston

ER alum Alex Kingston has booked a multi-episode arc on Private Practice, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Kingston, 47, will appear in at least three episodes as Marla, a shrink who will help Violet (Amy Brenneman).

Following her days on the NBC medical drama, Kingston has appeared on Doctor Who, Law & Order: SVU and FlashForward.
