Alec Baldwin to Host SNL for Record-Setting 16th Time

Alec Baldwin will host Saturday Night Live for a record-setting 16th time when the show returns in September.

Baldwin is currently tied with Martin, his close pal, for most hosting stints, his last coming in May 2010. (Martin most recently hosted in January 2009.)
NBC has also confirmed The New York Times' report that Mike & Molly and Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy will host the second episode of the season.
The 37th season of SNL premieres Sept. 24.
