Alan Tudyk Joins Rockford Files Remake

Firefly's Alan Tudyk has been tapped for NBC's Rockford Files remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Tudyk will play Jim Rockford's friend and LAPD Sgt. Dennis Becker — a role originated by Joe Santos in the original 1974 series. The 38-year-old actor joins Dermot Mulroney, who has been cast in the title role.

The Rockford Files pilot was written by House creator David Shore, who will serve as an executive producer with Steve Carell on the project.
