The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Twentieth Century Fox Television has given a put pilot commitment to a small screen adaptation of Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's classic graphic novel The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, TVGuide.com has learned.

The drama focuses on a group of Victorian age literary characters, including Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, who team up to fight a common enemy.

Michael Green (Heroes, The River) will write and executive-produce the project alongside Erwin Stoff, with whom he worked on Kings.

A film version of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, starring Sean Connery and Shane West, was released in 2003.
