Friday Night Lights alum Aimee Teegarden has landed the lead role in CW's The Selection, TVGuide.com has confirmed. TVLine first reported the news.
The drama pilot, described as The Hunger Games meets The Bachelor, is based on an upcoming book series by Kiera Cass. Teegarden will play a young woman chosen by lottery to compete to become the next queen of a war-torn nation.
