Aerosmith Cancels Summer Tour After Steven Tyler's Fall

Steven Tyler

Aerosmith has canceled the rest of its summer tour with ZZ Top as a result of the injuries Steven Tyler sustained in a fall last week.

"Words can't express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour," guitarist Joe Perry said in a statement. "I would like to thank our loyal fans for sticking by us through thick and thin and all the good energy they are sending our way. We hope we can get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible."

Tyler suffered a broken shoulder and received stitches on his head after falling offstage during "Love in an Elevator" at the band's Aug. 5 gig at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota.

Ticket refunds for the canceled dates will be available at the place of purchase.
