Adele, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards, the network announced Thursday.
Adele, who will be making her VMA performance debut, is up for seven nominations, including Video of the Year.

Brown, who's also up for several awards, said: "I am excited about my nominations and to be back on the VMA stage. I have a special performance planned for my wonderful fans." Brown last appeared on the awards show in 2007 with his now ex Rihanna.
Wayne, who's up for Best Hip-Hop Video, said: "Being a nominee and performer on the VMAs once again is an honor because everyone doesn't get that opportunity."
The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards airs live Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9/8c.
