Adam Lambert

ABC received more than 1,500 complaints about Adam Lambert's sexually-charged performance at the American Music Awards, according to The Associated Press.

Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson dominate the AMAs

During a S&M-themed performance of his debut single, "For Your Entertainment," the American Idol runner-up flipped off the audience, kissed a male keyboard player and fondled several of his backup dancers, one of whom had his head pulled into Lambert's crotch. The latter was edited out the West Coast replay.

Lambert, 27, said his goal was "not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom."
